We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Lead to join our team!
About the Role:
The Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and developing sourcing strategies for key purchasing categories. This role will play a critical part in achieving efficiencies, mitigating supply risks, and driving cost savings across our operations.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic work environment, splitting their time between our corporate office and terminal operations to stay closely aligned with internal departments and procurement needs. After an initial 90-day training period, one remote workday per week will be available.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and execute the procurement plan for strategic goods and services.
- Develop and implement category sourcing strategies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
- Analyze and manage supplier relationships and performance.
- Ensure efficient and compliant procurement processes using SAP or other ERP systems.
- Provide expert procurement guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Lead competitive bid and tender processes.
- Conduct procurement audits and prepare reports.
- Support contract negotiations and risk assessments.
- Maintain compliance with Procurement Policy, Tender Procedures, and Finance Policies.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Professional certification in purchasing or supply chain preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, eProcurement, Spend Analysis, and Contract Management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Physical & Work Environment:
- PPE may be required when on-site at terminal operations. Some exposure to extreme weather changes and humidity/moisture relative to atmospheric condition variations. Includes exposure to extreme summer temperatures, as well as rain.
- Work generally performed in an office environment. Regular trips to the field are required that includes various hazards and noise exposure.
- Drug Free workplace, employer participation in random drug testing.
