The HR & Sr. Payroll Analyst at Florida International Terminal (FIT) is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll and HR operations across a complex, unionized workforce. This role bridges payroll, compensation, benefits, and HR operations to support compliance, efficiency, and employee retention while delivering reliable data that informs business decisions. You will serve as the organization’s primary ADP payroll system expert for union and staffing payroll, supporting multiple union locals, navigating collective bargaining agreements, and maintaining the highest standards of data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Operations & Compliance
- Administer high-volume payroll in strict accordance with union contracts and CBAs.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, premiums, dues, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
- Prepare and submit union-specific payroll reports, remittances, and year-end tax forms.
- File, remit, and reconcile payroll taxes in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
ADP System Ownership
- Serve as the primary ADP subject-matter expert.
- Configure union rules, troubleshoot issues, and train HR staff on payroll processes.
- Maintain payroll documentation, SOPs, and process improvements.
Data, Reporting & Process Improvement
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and reports to track payroll performance.
- Analyze payroll trends and identify opportunities for cost savings, risk reduction, and efficiency.
- Reconcile payroll accounts including benefits and garnishments.
HR Operations & Cross-Functional Support
- Support benefits administration, employee records, onboarding documentation, and HR compliance.
- Collaborate with union representatives, auditors, vendors, and government agencies.
- Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
- Participate in HR projects and support departmental initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–4+ years of high-volume payroll experience, including union payroll.
- Advanced ADP proficiency (configuration, reporting, troubleshooting).
- Deep knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and CBAs.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
- Experience building payroll dashboards, reconciliations, and compliance audits preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future need for visa sponsorship
- Participation in pre-employment and random drug testing required
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to climb at heights of six (6) feet or more
- Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with HSSE policies
